We’ve heard so much about covid and obesity in the past couple of years, but no one is talking about the real elephant in the room. Around 500 people die each year from poor air quality in Malta.
Air tainted with car exhaust, construction dust and many other factors is going into our lungs every second. Maltese citizens reported the worst exposure to pollution according to a 2017 Eurostat study. Yet, there seems to be little to no action to treat this emergency.
Should air quality be treated as a pandemic at this point?
