Vaccine certificates and tyrannical “health” regulations, what is the end goal?

  • 2

So we are a year and a half into Covid-19 approximately and as I’m sure all have heard, the Covid-19 vaccines certificate is regularly in the news cycle. I would like to question where do people draw the line, or more precisely, where does the government draw the line?

Initially most accepted the idea of vaccine passports specifically for travel since at the start of the vaccination effort few people had been vaccinated and limiting the spread was the goal of basically every country bar a few. However, as we have seen these vaccine certificates are being used as a means to discriminate against people who are unvaccinated, that is factual, the question is if it is justified or not. Well, taking it from a purely political point of view, it makes sense cause most people, since they are vaccinated or planning to be, support it thus implementing it would garner their favor in any up coming election. But, ethically this does not make much sense, some intellectuals and historians have tried to argue. They’ve stated that being unvaccinated does not mean that one is more vulnerable to contraction and transmission and that category can include naturally immune people through previous infection or though T-cell immunity. So I ask, why is there such a strong push to eliminate the unvaccinated from society as seen with the new restrictions in France and soon, Israel? Is it to not-so-subtly coerce people to take the vaccine? Is it to restrict freedom? Or is it to protect public health? What do you think?

From an evidence based point of view, these certificates do not mean much since the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or otherwise known as the CDC, released a study that shows that vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals contract and transmit the Delta variant at similar rates. So I ask again, why the strong push for vaccines, which slowly is becoming mandatory?

On another note, at the start of the pandemic we were told masks are not that effective and people were advised to wear them yet now we are forced to by law even though the evidence for their effective use is non-existent, so why mandate it?

Now in Australia, they had a grand total of 9 deaths from mid-July till now and they decided to enforce lock down with guards roaming the streets, not allowing anyone outside, now the problem here is that we know that lock-downs do not do what they intend to do, they do not stop the spread and in some cases have actually increased it since most people are stuck inside for longer periods of time with infected individuals. So I ask again, why mandate it?

I try to be objective and not get cynical about all of this but when rounded up like that I cannot not question the authorities that implement such dictatorial and tyrannical laws, that for some reason no one, not even journalists question, except from Jean Karl Soler, who was reported to the Medical Association by Charmaine Gauci for criticizing this government’s handling of the epidemic, because apparently all the government does is good and questioning it is reason enough for censoring, a rather poor attempt at that. These actions make you think that maybe these politicians are not working with the science as they so claim to be.

We’ve all seen the dubbed “anti-vaxxer” movement in Valletta recently and many have jumped to conclusions regarding their motives. I’m sure a lot of them were the stereotypical tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorists with their 5g worries, but some definitely were not. Some were marching to get their freedoms back, because the last time I checked a so called public health emergency does not grant the government the power to take the rights that people earn the moment they are born beyond the period where drastic measures had to be taken. So I ask again, with 86% being jabbed twice, and with us being told 70% of people being jabbed once was herd immunity reached, when do the restrictions end? Clearly they have already gone past one threshold, so what’s to say they won’t go past another. And that is not the mention the mask mandate, or the possible only vaccinated events or establishments, or lock-downs, or mandatory vaccination… All things which we are seeing in other countries. When will it get to us? and if and when it does, when will it stop?

Love it or hate it, Covid-19 is here to stay, but in a country where the state runs the national television, where journalists are scared to criticize and activists who do so are ridiculed so viciously or reported, does no one seriously not consider that the governments of the world may not have your best interest at heart? I mean this is a disease with a <1% mortality rate and yet even with those most at risk being vaccinated, we are still being restricted of our freedoms due to “public health”, I simply do not buy it. One decent look at history will tell you that once the government has been given the power to do something, it will not let it go, they will bring up whatever excuse or silly explanation to keep the people in the obedient flock that they abuse to get into power and now will to keep their power. Rights used to be unbreakable yet now we are seeing the dismantling of those same rights. My only hope is that this is as far as we go, and maybe someday we will actually return to the normal that we enjoyed for decades. Anyway sorry for the cynicism but I just put all my thoughts out there.

Love to hear what you think:)
