Volunteering is an important part of any society. In Malta we have always had thousands of people who dedicate their time and skills to the less fortunate.
The Volunteer who relieves, soothes, heals and helps however has now become a rare encounter.
I see convents closing down, NGOs crying for help and cultural activities being limited to lack of human resource.
Where has it all gone wrong? Have we lost the will to help?
