The reason for creating this website is to provide a platform for people to vote for candidates that match their beliefs.
Meaning:
-
People can ask and vote questions
-
Election candidates answer them
-
People get matches/ratings based on their, and the candidates answers.
The answers can be Yes/No or a range: Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree (but not neutral).
Most likely, the election candidates will answer the most voted/popular question, by doing so they would be telling everyone where they stand regarding certain issues and topics.
These answers will than show up on your ‘matches’ page, where you can get a score based on your answers and the candidate’s answers.
So in the end, the platform will help you determine if the candidate you wanted to vote for, actually represents your interest or not.
Your votes are never public, they are only visible to you (unless of course you register as a candidate, in which case your answers will be visible on the match page described above)
You can also ask questions anonymously, however creating an account is required in order to prevent abuse.
If you are still reading this, and think is a good idea, we would really appreciate you spreading the word! And if you do have a question that you think is worth posting, please do so.
You can do so here : https://polistand.com/
We will keep monitoring this discussion and reply to any question you might have.
Thanks!
